Venezuelan designer and photographer, Mariana (Martinis) Orban, credits her parents - both prominent architects - as being the key influencers in her profession. They taught her to love and appreciate shapes, colors, light, and most importantly, the essence of life. The years she spent surrounded by the arts encouraged her to take her first lessons in design and photography. What started as a hobby soon grew to be a passion when she discovered new techniques during her undergraduate studies. The knowledge acquired while studying to be a graphic designer opened Mariana up to new possibilities in photography.
With over 16 years of experience, Mariana documents life by capturing the emotional, real and spontaneous moments. She enjoys photographing the circle of life: weddings, maternity, newborns and families. She loves to stop those unique moments from running away with a very natural and organic way to direct her subjects, making them to feel comfortable to express themselves results in real and natural photographs. Photographing kids is her favorite, "Kids are always unpredictable and fun to photograph" she says, but she is able to photograph any kind of event and studio session.
